If you do not want the Student Health Insurance Plan, you must decline or opt-out of coverage by submitting a waiver. You may only opt-out of coverage during the following Waiver Periods:

Graduate Assistants and Fellows:
Graduate Assistants and Fellows are automatically enrolled in the student health insurance plan (SHIP). Graduate Assistants and Fellows may opt out of SHIP by submitting proof of alternate insurance. Students who do not take action by the waiver deadline, May 31, 2024, will remain enrolled in SHIP.
Alternate Health Insurance Requirements:
To qualify for a waiver of SHIP, your alternate health insurance must meet or exceed the requirements as set forth below and AHP must receive the waiver request by the waiver deadline, May 31, 2024.
